Melissa Buxton

Formerly known as Melissa Gagne

According to public court records and the Bangor Daily News, Melissa Gagne (now Buxton) was sentenced to seven months in jail in February 2011 for unlawful sexual contact with a 14-year-old child.

As part of her sentencing, she was ordered to register as a sex offender. She is currently listed in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Sexual Offender and Predator System.

"Although she is not current registered in the state of Maine sex offender registry (4-2026) as required by law she has been living in or around Madison Maine for several years, bringing into question why local law-enforcement is not bringing her in for failure to register as a sexual predator in the state of Maine. We know that she has had multiple contacts with the Penobscot County sheriffs office in recent months, but no arrest have been made despite her unregistered status."
